The Accommodation
Welcome to One the Wras. Inside you will find a comfortable modern surrounding from which to base yourself on the islands.
The kitchen comprises of a washer/dryer, oven, 4 ring hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, recycling waste facilities, Dyson, good selection of glassware, cutlery, pots and cooking utensils. We also provide Tupperware and picnic equipment for adventure days out.
The lounge has a comfortable sofa and footstool, 42" Smart TV with Netflix, Bluetooth CD player and selection of paperback reading books and a small library of local interest and hobby books to browse. The unfussy bedroom has dual aspect with great views which you can see through the binoculars provided. There is a comfortable king size bed made up with 100% cotton linen and USB plug sockets by your bedside table. You will find beach towels and a hairdryer provided. The shower room has an automatic night light and warming underfloor heating. Fluffy bath and hand towels and a starter supply of soap and toilet tissue are also supplied together with robes for relaxing.
The sunny balcony is perfect for relaxing with a coffee or enjoying pre dinner drinks on the cushioned chairs. If you prefer to air dry clothes, there is a retractable washing line provided.
One the Wras also has WIFI and we provide a Welcome Basket which typically includes tea, coffee, biscuits, eggs and milk. We have a sewing kit, stationery and first aid kit should you need them.
We accept registered service dogs by prior arrangement only.
Our Location
One the Wras is located a few seconds from sandy Porthcressa and Little Porth beaches on St Mary’s. It is a few minutes’ walk to Hugh Town, the main hub of the island, which comprises niche gift shops, a well stocked supermarket, bank, post office and a good choice of restaurants and pubs if you prefer to eat out. The quay is approximately 8 minutes’ walk at the end of town from where you catch the Scillonian to the mainland or the off-island boats for trips to explore the beautiful islands of Bryher, St Martin’s, Tresco and St Agnes. St Mary’s is approximately 2 miles at its widest point and getting out of town to explore is easy. You can hire a golf buggy, bike or simply walk one of the stunning coastal pathways around the island, stopping at one of the excellent cafes for lunch.
